Finally, the weather improved and we were able to get outside. At last week's Eco-meeting we set up our wormery, planted out the pots, tidied up the boat at the front of the school and planted a few wildflowers. Take a look at our photos.
Our very kind parent helpers have donated a Cherry Blossom tree to our garden developments at the back of the school. The tree is to commemorate the Queen's 90th birthday and we hope to get a small plaque with a dedication to her to go next to the tree. Wouldn't it be great if she could come to see it!?
Now our work is nearly done and the weather has started to improve, the children have been able to get outside to use the new areas to learn. P5 are measuring the temperature each day and are recording their data on a graph in the classroom. P6 are noting the wind direction and are monitoring the different types of birds that visit our garden each day.
