Mount Stewart Forest Trails Trip
This trip gave us the opportunity to think about conditions for growth, experience different layers of forest first-hand, study our relationship with trees (carbon dioxide and oxygen exchange), witness the water-cycle (evaporation, condensation and precipitation) and think about hut building using natural materials (like the tribe's people found in the Amazon Basin).
Although Mount Stewart isn't exactly a tropical rain forest we did receive a good 'daily downpour' on our visit! Despite the rain, spirits were high and we had a super day! Thanks again to our parent helpers for making the trip possible!
Thinking about plant life - our planters construction, planting bulbs and watching then grow.
Can you remember the three 'conditions for growth'?
